The Civil War cadet experience is a highlight here. Exhibits include items related to Confederate Gen. Stonewall Jackson (a teacher here before the war) including his horse "Little Sorrell." While on the Post, soak up the traditional atmosphere of the Institute that was nearly destroyed by Union Gen. David Hunter in 1864. Graves of several cadets killed at the Battle of New Market (1864) are located near the museum.

Open daily 9 am-5 pm. Donations welcome.
