Andersonville National Historic Site

The site of probably the most notorious Civil War prison camp is preserved in this national park. More than 13,000 Union prisoners died during the prison's 14-month history. The prison camp site is outlined with sections of the wooden stockade reconstructed.

Grounds are open 8 am–5 pm daily. Museum is open 9 am–5 pm daily. Free.
