Famed Confederate cavalryman Nathan B. Forrest won a brilliant tactical victory here over a superior Union force July 10, 1864. But the Union activity kept Forrest away from Federal supply lines as Sherman headed for Atlanta. The small Brices Cross Roads National Battlefield Site interprets a tiny piece of the battlefield.
