Confederate Gen. Nathan B. Forrest made a stand here against Federal forces chasing him after his raid deep behind Union lines. Nearly cornered here, Forrest ordered his men to "charge them both ways" and escaped. A driving tour connects several walking trails covering the significant parts of this Dec 31, 1862, battlefield.

Visitor center open 9 am-4:30 pm daily. Park open daylight hours. Free.
